ok so my interview date has been set URCK NERVOUS TIME And I need to get me a nice portfolio, so could you COOL PEOPLES recommend me some of my work from here that will be most likely to get me accepted. I would rpefer non fan-art, but admitedly that means I'd only have like two pictures :/
Well, I think your fanart is pretty acceptable if it means only having two orginals, from what I hear, most of the time they will be looking for flexability and different techniques. However, since I've never applied for a university I wouldn't know the full truth in this. Your works have become so much more better than since when we first met, I say complie your favorites then get the orginals, that way you can say you have some under your wings, but also, and this is a big also, try adding some sketeches in but not from here, some new ones. That's not the best advice, but I hope you can come up with a solution before it comes to date, good luck!
I don't know if you've sent off your portfolio already, or not, but if you're still trying to formulate it, these are ones that seem to showcase your talent/flexibility:
1. "Steve Vai" 2. "Metropolis" 3. "Temple Ruins" or "Forgotten Temple" 4. "Red Weed underground" or "Guarding the Tombs"
yah Jinell I'll be taking my sketchbook (it's actually mmore versatile than my paintings!) and my fave/the best of my paintings. I'm kinda slowly working things out (one week to go )
Thanks for the suggestions CageyJay (and hello), those're the ones that get mentioned quite a bit so I'll be sure to take them!
